What is podcasting?
Podcasting is a method of distributing sound files via a dedicated XML feed.
Using podcasting software, you will choose the content you want once, and from
that moment it will delivered to you regularly. The software does all the
work, reaching out to this site all the time, automatically downloading
sound files when they are posted.
When can I listen to podcasts?
You can hear the audio whenever you want. Podcast content is time-shifted,
which means you control when you listen.
How do I subscribe to this podcast?
Copy the URL in the box below into your preferred podcasting tool
software
(e.g. Odeo, iTunes). You will automatically receive this podcast each time
it's published.
What do I need to hear podcasts?
The first thing you need is podcast subscription software to manage your
podcast subscriptions. After you download free podcast subscription software
you can listen to podcast audio from your computer. Below are some free options:
iTunes - http://www.apple.com/itunes/
Odeo - http://www.odeo.com/
Juice - Unfortunately our Podcasts will not work with Juice at this time. We recommend iTunes for both Mac and PC users.
Follow the prompts to install the software for either Mac or PC. Run iTunes.
Click the "Advanced" menu and select "Subscribe to Podcast". In the box that
opens up, paste in the URL of the Podcast you wish to subscribe to. To get
the feed URL, go to the podcast page and click on the XML Icon

to the content you want. A new window will open. Copy and paste the URL from
that browser into the URL prompt. For example, You should see all available
audio and it will attempt to download the newest audio clip automatically.
Each time you open iTunes, it will search for any new audio
Note: Your computer must be able to play MP3 audio files and have a sound
card. If you want to make your podcasts portable, you will need to transfer
them from your computer to a portable media device (such as an iPod).
I subscribed to a podcast. Why don't I hear anything?
Confirm that you have audio player software downloaded on your computer.
Check that the correct audio file was downloaded to your computer. You may need to modify the update settings in your podcasting software to ensure that this process occurs automatically.
Check the update times in the description and make sure that a new edition has been posted.
